One Mississippi. It seems almost arbitrary that the time it takes most humans to say those two words but in lieu of a stopwatch it is a pretty good approximation for a second. A second does not seem like a long period of time. It becomes even more insignificant when you realize 86,400 of them that make up a single day. Through the lens of human history a second, is meaningless and insignificant.
